I’ve built companies, not just consulted with them.

My name is Trey Smith, I’ve been building technology since I was fifteen. Across that run I’ve co-founded and operated more than a dozen companies, as founder, COO, and CTO, in aviation, ecommerce, healthcare, hospitality, and SaaS. I co-founded Set Jet in Scottsdale, AZ, a members-only private-aviation company, and scaled it from $0 to $14M in annual revenue at an $85M valuation, 8,000+ flights and 12,000+ members, to the doorstep of a NASDAQ listing. I’ve been with Mr Target since it ran out of a garage, now a $10M+ business, and helped grow Koi Poke from one location to seven, before selling to a franchise group. I’ve raised capital, cleared FAA and DOT approvals, and shipped products people pay for.

That’s the difference in how I work: I’m not a consultant optimizing for a slide. I’m a founder-operator who has carried the risk, so I architect your technology like it’s my own company on the line. It usually has been.

It started early: my first IT job came after a company caught me inside their servers, and hired me to secure them instead.
